Save the date! Koskie Minsky University Lecture in Labour Law, University of Western Ontario

On November 3rd and 4th, 2017, the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario, Koskie Minsky LLP and Fasken Martineau LLP will be co-hosting a Lecture and Conference on Precarious Work, Uncertain Rights and the Role of Workplace Law. All events will be held at the University of Western Ontario in London.
The 9th Koskie Minsky University Lecture on Labour Law will be delivered on Friday November 3, 2017 starting at 5:30 pm, by Dr. David Weil, the incoming Dean of the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University in Boston. Dr. Weil is the author of The Fissured Workplace: Why Work Became So Bad for So Many and What Can Be Done to Improve It (Harvard University Press, 2014). He was also appointed by President Barack Obama to be the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor, serving in that role from 2014 to January 2017. A reception for Lecture attendees will follow.
The Fasken Martineau University Labour Law Conference will be held on Saturday November 4th,, 2017, with four panels of scholars, adjudicators and practitioners who will explore a range of issues relating to Precarious Work, Uncertain Rights and the Role of Workplace Law.
